Dr. Paul Collins comes to us from the Bluegrass state of Kentucky where they're commonly known as the "other" Horse Capital of the World. Dr. Collins was trained at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee where he gained his thirst for knowledge of Ocular Disease.

He then completed a residency in Ocular Disease and Refractive Surgery with Commonwealth Eye Surgery in Lexington, Kentucky after which he completed a Fellowship in Ocular Disease at the world famous Bascom Palmer Eye Institute with some of the most respected doctors and surgeons in the world. BPEI, as it is commonly referred to, has had consecutive years of being named the #1 Eye Hospital in the United States by US News & World Report.

Dr. Collins, after completing his Fellowship, looked to the Ocala area as a family oriented community that in his mind is a great place to call home. He resides in Ocala with his wife Jessica, his newborn son Braydon, and his Australian Shepherd, Kylee. He enjoys kayaking, jogging, and long drives in the country enjoying the scenery with his family and beloved canine companion.
